Grade 5   Artist

Our year begins and  we delve deeper into the ELEMENTS and PRINCIPLES of ART .


The 5th Grade Artist must apply their knowledge of the ELEMENTS of ART.
The Art Element of VALUE is introduced as an important means of expanding our drawing vocabulary.  Value allows us to draw and create with more depth and meaning.

We also continue with  the PRINCIPLES of ART + DESIGN.

EMPHASIS - PROPORTION - BALANCE - MOVEMENT - UNITY . These are visually present in each of our lives.  We learn to recognize their collective presence in our personal worlds by applying them to the variety of art explorations we embark upon.  
Let's use them to  describe the ELEMENTS we have been learning since Kindergarten.
New ideas and concepts are continuously being introduced and celebrated.
